Wedding at Longan’s Place in Miami, FL
Getting ready at Trump National Doral Miami Hotel
Ashley and Jorge spent their wedding day morning getting ready at the beautiful, Trump National Doral Miami hotel. Ashley had her mom help her get dressed and then she surprised her bridesmaids with a first look. From there, she met her dad downstairs and shared a few moments with him before her and Jorge privately exchanged their vows. The grand columns and architecture perfectly framed them as they made their promises prior to their ceremony.
Ceremony and Reception at Longan’s Place
If you’re like Ashley and Jorge, and you are not planning on doing a first look — here’s a quick rundown of what the day will look like for you! After the ceremony, we’ll go right into formal family photos — I ask my clients to send me a list of all the formal family photo combinations they are looking for (ideally 15 or less), then use that list to efficiently cycle through the photos. After family photos, we grab some full bridal party photos — then end with bride and groom portraits. During this time, your guests will be at cocktail hour; given cocktail hour is usually ~60 minutes, the bride and groom don’t usually get to join when they opt out of having a first look.
Of course, every couple has different priorities, so if you’d rather have an aisle reveal but don’t mind missing out on cocktail hour, not doing a first look is probably the best option for you! Either way, like Ashley and Jorge, you will have the rest of the evening to dance, party and enjoy the presence of all your people in the same room.
