Destination Wedding at Crystal Mountain in Michigan

Sean and Paige decided to have their wedding back home in Michigan, the state that means the most to both of them, at Crystal Mountain Resort and I had the absolute pleasure of coming along to celebrate them and document their day!

From the moment I arrived at the venue, it was so evident how much love there was, not only between Sean and Paige, but also amongst their families and friends and the love they all had for the bride and groom!

Sean and his groomsmen were all relaxing, having a few drinks and talking when I first got there and it truly showed the essence of them in their element. Sean then took me aside and told me, “I have a surprise for each one of them.” Once they all got dressed, he invited them outside the cabin they were staying at and he gifted each one of his groomsmen an engraved bookbag cooler with socks, a drink maker and a handwritten note. All of them were beyond excited and thankful!

Meanwhile, Paige was also getting ready with her mom and aunt and preparing to have her first look with her bridesmaids. Her girls could not help but hype Paige up at the sight of her in her dress and veil!

Did I mention the ceremony was being held at the top of the mountain? OH. Yeah, all their guests took a ski lift to get to the ceremony location with the most amazing views! What made it even more special was that Sean’s sister was their officiant and got to marry them!

After a ceremony filled with lots of happiness, we captured family and bridal party portraits and photos of just the bride and groom. Take a peek below for some stunning photos that feel like they were part of a movie!

From their portrait session, we headed straight to cocktail hour and then the reception. These two opted for a night of hors d’oeuvres being passed around the entire night and they surprised their guests with late night snacks: pizza, pretzel bites and donuts! Their guests enjoyed it – to say the least!

Sean and Paige partied all night with their favorite people in the world and it was honestly the best day and I am SO glad I got to fly out to Michigan to be a part of it!
