Couples Photoshoot turned Proposal at Vizcaya
I ran a giveaway a few months ago offering a complimentary photoshoot to one couple at Vizcaya, along with a day pass at a hotel in Coral Gables. The day came when the winner was announced and I shared via my social media that Mallory had won the giveaway!
A few minutes later, I got a direct message from her boyfriend, Anthony. He said “Hey Spencer, it’s Mallory’s boyfriend, could I give you a quick call?”
I was naturally intrigued and he then asked me if it was okay with me that he propose during their couples photoshoot. Like the natural hopeless romantic I am, I said absolutely!
The big day came and, like with all my photoshoots, I set expectations with them before we started taking photos. I asked them to just relax, enjoy their time and trust me with my creative vision!
We ventured through Vizcaya, exploring the different nooks the gardens have to offer and capturing them in their natural element — loving and tender with each other.

The photoshoot continued and we finally arrived to the specific location Anthony and I had planned for. I had them pose looking away from each other and when I saw Anthony was on one knee already, I asked Mallory to turn around.
Her reaction was PRICELESS. She couldn’t believe it and could not stop crying happy tears! She said “yes” in between hugs, happy tears and lots of smiles!
Being able to experience this special moment with them meant the world to me, and even more so because I got to help Anthony plan it all!
