Although they do require you purchase a permit fee, I 100% think it is well worth the price for the type of photos you can get there! There are tons of grand staircases, lush greens, fountains, balconies and so much more to work with.
Their permit fees start at $250 + tax for a regular weekday permit or $350 + tax for a regular weekend permit and you can be let in right at 9:30 a.m. when the gardens open to the public. If you are looking for a more private session where you can ensure very minimal people are around, I’d highly recommend the premium early access pass - this pass allows you to enter at 8 a.m., before the grounds open to the public. The premium early access pass is also ideal for surprise proposals!
